Today's post also includes another facet of Notgeld collecting that hasn't been featured in any of my previous posts. Set envelopes and/or covers! The 9th and 10th images in the image gallery show the original envelope sold with this set. Not all sets of Notgeld were sold this way, but dozens and dozens were. I don't have a definitive list of all the sets for which envelopes/covers exist, but I'd estimate there are at least 150-200 of them.
Some envelopes/covers are affordable and fairly easy to find, while others are extremely scarce and expensive. There are also envelope variants that exist for some sets.
The catalog value for this complete set of 4 notes is around $6. The value of the envelope is about $15-$20.”
